Bristol Redistro is a participatory fund which means the people who make the decisions are from the community affected by those decisions. Every funding round we bring together people from groups we’ve funded in the past to form a decision-making panel – they decide which applications are successful. We follow the principle of Nothing about us without us!
We had a meeting earlier this month to review our criteria and application questions with a group of people from Bristol grassroots community groups, including some of our funded groups. If you have applied before, please be sure to have a careful look through. There are no big changes to the criteria but we have lowered the maximum annual income of eligible groups from £25,000 to £10,000 to help keep the focus on grassroots groups who struggle to access funds elsewhere.
We currently have enough funds to give ten grants of £1,000. In the last round we received 42 applications and funded 21 of them. We’d love to support even more groups this time. The crowdfund will remain open during the application period, please support if you can.
