We ran our 6th round at the end of 2024. We received 37 eligible applications. The average income of the funded groups is just £1,900 per year. We raised £26,472 – 20 groups received the full amount they asked for (mostly £1,000 but a couple of £500) and the balance was shared between the remaining 10 groups (who received £747.20 each). As always, we invited people from our previously funded groups to be the decision-makers for this round. We had 14 people involved in deciding which applications to fund, including from Reparations Bristol, Black Mothers Matter, DMAC UK, DET Entertainment, Rebel Girls Club, Cushion, SLEEC, Afidance and Dandelion. The process involves reading and scoring applications at home, and then a meeting to discuss the applications.
